New York Alfred A. Knopf 1967 B0007EUPJA 4th Printing Hardcover VG+/VG; Bound in green, name on endpaper; very minor wear to edges.  
The author was the companion and personal secretary for Bernard Berenson for over 40 years. Introduction by Sir Kenneth Clark. Berenson (1865-1959) was a Lithiuanian born American art critic and connoisseur of Italian art. An expert and an arbiter of taste, he selected for art collectors innumerable paintings, many of which are now in museums. A testament to his taste may be seen in the Gardner Museum in Boston. His estate, I Tatti, just outside of Florence Italy was willed to Harvard University; 8vo; 352 pp
